Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. The short version (plain English)
ClawVault is an AI agent that does life-admin tasks on your behalf — filling forms, managing passwords, tracking subscriptions, paying bills. This document is the agreement between you and ClawVault. The TL;DR:
- You own your data. Vault contents, login credentials, and personal info are yours. We can't read them. We don't sell them.
- Every action requires your tap. The agent never submits a form, pays a bill, or cancels a subscription without your explicit confirmation.
- You're responsible for what you tell the agent to do. If you ask it to fill a fraudulent form or pay a bill that isn't yours, that's on you.
- We're not your lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor. ClawVault is a tool. It does what you ask. It doesn't give advice.
- You can cancel any time. No lock-in. Refund policy is here.
The rest of this page is the formal version. By signing up for the waitlist, paying the founder deposit, or using ClawVault, you agree to all of it.
2. Who we are
"ClawVault", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of go-claw.com. ClawVault is built on the OpenClaw open-source project and runs on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The operator is reachable via the contact form on the homepage.
3. Account eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a ClawVault account or pay the founder deposit. If you're using ClawVault on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep it accurate. If you give us a fake email or impersonate someone else, we can suspend or terminate your account without notice or refund.
4. The founder waitlist deposit
The $10 founder waitlist deposit reserves your spot in the private beta cohort. It is not a payment for the ClawVault subscription itself. The deposit:
- Is fully refundable any time before launch (see Refund Policy)
- Becomes account credit at launch, applied to your first month's subscription
- Entitles founder waitlist members to 3 months free on whichever plan they choose at launch
- Does not guarantee a specific launch date — see "No guarantees" below
5. The agent and your authorisation
ClawVault uses an AI agent to perform tasks on your behalf on the open web — navigating forms, logging into accounts, reading bills, cancelling trials. You authorise us to do this only for the specific tasks you trigger, and only after you tap the explicit confirm button on each action.
The agent never submits an irreversible action (form submission, payment, cancellation) without a fresh confirmation from you. Pending actions auto-expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. The full action history is available in your audit log.
You are responsible for the content of the actions you authorise. If you tell the agent to fill a fraudulent grant application, submit a false insurance claim, or pay a bill that isn't yours, that's your decision and your liability — not ours. We provide the tool; you provide the intent.
6. Your credentials and the vault
Your vault contents (passwords, government IDs, payment methods, personal info) are encrypted at rest in Google Cloud Secret Manager with per-user IAM scoping. We don't have engineering access to read them. The Postgres database only stores references and labels — never the values themselves.
You're responsible for the strength of the credentials you store and for keeping your ClawVault login (email + 2FA code) secure. If your email account is compromised, the attacker can request a login code and access your vault. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication via an authenticator app from the Vault settings page.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use ClawVault to:
- Commit fraud, money laundering, identity theft, or any other illegal activity
- Submit false information to government, insurance, financial, or healthcare systems
- Automate access to systems where you don't have authorisation (terms-of-service violations on third-party sites)
- Scrape, harvest, or collect personal data on people who haven't consented
- Reverse-engineer the ClawVault service or attempt to extract source code, prompts, or model weights
- Resell access to ClawVault to third parties without our written permission
- Use ClawVault in a way that overwhelms our infrastructure or disrupts other users
We can suspend or terminate your account immediately if we believe you're violating these rules. We'll refund any unused subscription period at our discretion.
8. Subscription, pricing, and billing
ClawVault charges monthly subscription fees for the Personal ($4.99/mo), Family ($9.99/mo, up to 6 seats), and Pro ($19.99/mo) plans. The Free plan is $0/mo and limited to 10 agent actions per month. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
Paid subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Your credit card details never touch our servers — they go directly to Stripe and we receive only a tokenised reference. We're SAQ-A compliant by default by using Stripe Checkout.
9. Service availability and "no guarantees"
We aim for high availability but ClawVault is provided "as is". We don't guarantee:
- Uninterrupted service (we may have downtime for maintenance or unexpected issues)
- That the agent will succeed at every task — some websites use anti-bot measures, captchas, or change their layouts in ways the agent can't handle
- That the agent will read amounts, dates, or fields perfectly — you're the human in the loop for a reason
- A specific launch date for the private beta or public release
We do guarantee that we'll act in good faith and refund you if we screw up something material.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ClawVault's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Your statutory consumer rights (where applicable) are not affected by anything in this section.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify ClawVault against claims arising from (a) your misuse of the service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third party's rights, or (d) actions you authorised the agent to take that turned out to be unlawful or fraudulent.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make a material change, we'll notify active users by email (or in-app notification) at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use ClawVault after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that can't be resolved through the contact form will be settled by binding individual arbitration where required by law, or in a court of competent jurisdiction in Alberta otherwise.
14. Termination
You can terminate your account any time from the Settings page. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that creates legal or operational risk. On termination, your vault contents are wiped from Secret Manager within 24 hours and your Postgres rows are soft-deleted (and hard-deleted within 30 days).
